We're looking for an Executive Sous Chef who brings precision, leadership, and passion to every service. This role is for a culinary professional who can help lead a high-volume, fast-paced scratch kitchen with confidence, creativity, and a sharp eye for detail. You will work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage and Culinary to oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, support and develop the culinary team, and help deliver exceptional food experiences that reflect the spirit of 1 Hotel West Hollywood.

Support leading all daily kitchen operations
Supervise, coach, and motivate line cooks and culinary team members
Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, presentation, and cleanliness
Oversee food prep, production, and service execution in a high-volume environment
Assist with inventory, ordering, cost control, and waste management
Help drive team performance, guest satisfaction, and financial results
Step in with quick thinking and practical solutions during service and operational challenges
Ensure all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met consistently
About you:
Passionate about culinary arts, with at least 4 years of similar leadership experience
Experience in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong knowledge of culinary operations, kitchen systems, and team leadership
Proven ability to drive team engagement, guest satisfaction, and financial performance
Clear and effective communicator, both verbal and written
Flexible and ready to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus
Inside Tip: Creativity, empathy, leadership, and mad chopping skills go a very long way.
